IBSCHOLARZ

IB families in Manila are often planning for more than one destination at once. A student might be applying to US colleges, keeping UK options open and also considering the University of the Philippines or Ateneo, all while carrying six IB subjects, the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge through the Diploma.

IBScholarz provides one-to-one online IB tutoring for students in Metro Manila and across the Philippines. Our tutors teach the IB syllabus and assessment criteria specifically, lessons run live on Philippine time, and every session is recorded so your child can revisit it before a test.

IB tutoring for Manila’s international schools

We tutor IB MYP and Diploma students from schools across Metro Manila, including:

  • International School Manila
  • British School Manila
  • Brent International School Manila
  • Chinese International School Manila

IBScholarz is an independent tutoring provider and is not affiliated with any of these schools. Each student’s plan is built around their own school’s calendar of tests, IA deadlines and mock exams.

Every IB subject, Higher and Standard Level

  • Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA) and Applications & Interpretation (AI), HL and SL
  • Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Environmental Systems & Societies
  • Individuals & Societies: Economics, Business Management, Psychology, Geography, History
  • Languages: English A Language & Literature and English B
  • The Core: Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay guidance and Internal Assessment support in every subject

IB and the SAT, side by side

Many Manila students applying to American universities sit the SAT alongside the IB Diploma, which squeezes two very different kinds of preparation into the same year. Because we also run Digital SAT preparation and university admissions counselling, we can plan both together so neither crowds out the other.

Lessons on Philippine time, without the traffic

All sessions are scheduled in Philippine Standard Time (GMT+8). Weekday lessons run from 4pm to 10pm, with morning and afternoon slots at weekends. Because every lesson is online, no one loses an evening sitting on EDSA to get to a tutor, and lessons carry on when typhoon weather closes schools.

Ahead of the May examination session we add extra past-paper revision slots.

How it works

  1. Free trial lesson. Your child meets a tutor matched to their subject and level and works through material from their current unit.
  2. A plan built on their school calendar. We map upcoming tests, IA drafts and EE milestones and set a weekly rhythm around them.
  3. Regular progress updates. Parents hear what was covered, what is improving and what still needs work.

Why Manila families choose IBScholarz

  • Certified tutors who specialise in IB assessment, not general tutoring

  • 80% of our students score a 6 or 7, and students in regular classes improve by an average of two grades
  • Every lesson recorded so your child can revisit it before tests and exams
